Why Tri.

Welcome to Diabetic And Lovin' It, the site made by and dedicated to those with Diabetes,

My name is Gary Blakie, see my

I have Type 1 Diabetes but that hasn't held me back, in fact I believe,

Diabetes has made me better!

My achievements include keeping good control of my Diabetes in my sporting events and adjusting my regime to account for any changes in my day to day activities,

Furthermore, my achievements include finishing the UK Half Ironman 2002 in Llamberis at the age of 17 and again at Sherbourne Castle in 2003 and more recently representing Great Britain in the World Triathlon Age Group Championships 2005 hosted in Honolulu after qualifying in the UK National Championships.

I believe its possible for everyone to achieve this level of control with the right guidance and support. For you very own personal training regime visit www.TRI-IT-WITHACOACH.co.uk, this coaching website is run by my coach Colin Gardener and is a key factor behind getting fit and my success as an athlete,

Diabetes and sport are important to me, many people ask what I do in my sporting events and how diabetes has affected my life, so I tell them.... whether it be in an email or a presentation to 5-300+ people it might spark the answer their searching for,

How did it all start, why go to all the effort, WHY TRI ???
